Poker Client Errors on Mac

Hi there,

Is anyone else seeing issues with the Mac poker client? I’m noticing two things:

  1. The settings at the top show up as random characters
  2. My hole cards or the board cards occasionally show up blank (see below)

I tried deleting and re-downloading the app, but am still getting the same results.

We’re sorry to hear you’re having some poker issues on your Mac device. We have some other quick troubleshooting steps to try that work for all PC’s:

  1. When you reinstall, make sure the folder name is different from the original one to ensure a completely new version is downloaded. You can easily do this by adding a 1 or 2 at the end of the folder it is downloading to. If you need visual help for this, let us know!

  2. Try running the program as an administrator.

  3. Power cycling your modem can sometimes fix problems related to disconnection issues. (This may not be related to disconnection issues, but it never hurts to try!) Doing this is easy with these steps:

  • Unplug your modem and router to turn it off.
  • Wait for a few seconds before turning it back on.
  • Wait for your modem or router to be completely connected.
  • Once this is done, you can connect your computer back to the Internet.

Try these steps and let us know if you’re still having issues.

Hi Foster, thanks for the help. Tried all the above, still no luck. I just used another Mac laptop and the client seems to work fine. Are there any files I can investigate on the local filesystem?

No problem at all @marbo40. As these steps didn’t work, we’re going to escalate this and PM you with some questions about your issue.

Our new update implemented a fix and we have confirmed with @marbo40 that everything is okay so I’m going to update this topic to ‘Site Feedback - Delivered’.
