I am so sick of playing in these tournaments and watching as 1 player at any given table is in “God Mode” and wins 95% of the hands. They don’t do it with good play or smart betting, nope, they win with whatever 2 cards they are dealt…just keep calling and they will win. Doesn’t matter if they have pocket pairs or 72, somehow they always end up catching what they need and they also seem to know that they are in “God Mode” because they will call the craziest preflop raises with cards that should be auto-mucked. They do it confidence and sometimes with what feels like arrogance because they will 3 bet a pot with absolutely nothing and then catch runner runner. They will follow it up with the laughing emoji just to add insult to injury. I was just eliminated from the Crytpo depositor freeroll by a player that won 10 of the first 11 hands played with 8 in a row to start. He took out 5 players on the very 1st hand to jump out to a massive chip lead and I knew right then that this was going to be a very short day for me. He took me out with 74 after calling a raise on every street with absolutely nothing and then hitting his 7 on the river. I had AJ suited with a gut shot and 4 to a flush and I knew that he didn’t have a d&*% thing and was calling just to call and once again he got lucky. I wanted to launch this computer thru the wall but I maintained my composure. lol I mean what do you do in these situations? Am I supposed to click the sit out button and pray to god that I get moved tables? I had like 5 or 6 hands that I would have normally played but I saw what was happening and folded (would have lost them all) I should have folded the AJ obviously but then I feel like I’m letting this site alter how I play poker and I hate that. I end up playing way less aggressive and typically I will cash in these but only for chump change. If I play aggressive I end up going out in the 1st 10 minutes to some douche canoe with 74. Anyone have any advice? And please don’t tell me to play in higher stakes as I’m not financially stable enough to be buying into $50-100 tournaments. I want to win at these smaller stakes but I just cant seem to get anywhere on a consistent basis. I have won all 3 of the weekly freerolls a few times each and a few of the micro mtts but if you consider I’ve played in most of the freerolls weekly for 4+ years that doesn’t sound so good anymore. Anyone else have this problem? Or is everyone else on here poker sharks and win all the time or ballers that can afford the huge buyins where there are less idiots that throw caution to the wind?
