HS cheating discovered, security dept on point (refunds)

Nobody is trying to screw you over, we are trying to help you with this.
It was escalated again yesterday as you are aware of, and as soon as they get back to us we will let you know.

walton,

just a heads up, security will never share details of investigations with players because there are regulations regarding confidentiality, possibly some proprietary information related to the site, and a real interest in keeping specific detection methods private (so as not to inform those who are cheating on how they can better circumvent the security protocols).

they don’t ever email me in response to be like 'ok greg, we got ‘em, the coast is clear now!’ - each time it’s just abundantly clear that they’ve gotten the rat bastards within the next day or two when i open up the games and those colluding accounts aren’t holding up tables anymore.

obviously some of your recent misfortune could just be related to runbad, but on the bright side you shouldn’t be too exposed to bad behavior at those stakes simply due to the amount of traffic and number of games that run regularly. it’s impossible for any team of colluders to essentially tie up all the tables at those stakes, which is why it’s really important to just get up and leave when you feel shitty about a table (and to follow up by reviewing the hands played in your database).

lizzu,

i accidentally deleted the first reply. my wife makes fun of me constantly for being old and unable to use the internet anymore.

the hallmarks of a game environment rife with collusion are going to be a bit different in PLO and NLH, and my experience with cheaters in poker is that they tend to focus on one specific format and hammer it as hard as they can- it’s unlikely that you and i are both dealing with the same player or group of players.

one thing to keep in mind- there’s always a big seasonal slowdown in action over the summer months in america (may-august), so when all the recreational players disappear for a while and you’re stuck playing in crappy games full of other grinders, it can definitely feel as though something is amiss.

in a nutshell, the collusion problem isn’t ‘solved’ in these games by any means, because these cheaters pop back up with new accounts after a few weeks every time i report them. there’s only so much you can do to disguise colluding behavior tho, so it’s always just a matter of time before they’re caught. i’m extremely stubborn and highly motivated by spite, so i plan to continue making their lives difficult.

osama,

i dont know how it is with casino disconnects, but i could treat myself to some nice expenditures if i had to tally up the thousands of dollars i’ve lost from disconnects in poker games. it’s nice to get a rebate, but connection issues really are just part of the cost of doing business when it comes to gambling online. doesn’t make it suck any less tho.

the money that was refunded to me and other players basically came from confiscated winnings out of accounts that were colluding with each other, whereas anything you’re compensated for a disconnect comes straight out of the website’s pocket.

What drives me up the wall is support offered my 10+ vouchers for disconnects they were able to see through their logging on Ignition, and live dealer had confirmed there was no user action input during the time that my account was drained on their platform, yet all if Ignition support makes it a point of emphasis to assure me the disconnect issue was on my side and I am not getting a penny.

The live dealer platform kept me connected, hence why my account kept auto-betting itself to death, however Ignitions server disconnected my session that their server handle, and then when trying to log back in I kept getting an HTTP status 429 “Too many requests” from their server when trying to log back in.

I never expected them to happily hand over the full amount in refunds to me, but the lack of ANY kind of compensation as an “our bad for draining your acct” really pisses me off, along with them lying to me about the disconnect being on my side of the connection while providing zero proof of that claim (whereas I provided a ton of evidence how it cannot even actually be an IP connectivity issue).

That coupled with reports of them holding btc withdraws from the site and stripping away reward points from all long time members has me not really interested in depositing here again, I am no fan of ACR but their support actually provides “support” when I need it.

yea idk man, none of that seems relevant to this thread, and ACR is widely known to be run by scumbags who take game integrity issues far less seriously than the security department at ignition/bovada.

good luck getting your casino issue sorted out

Wasn’t there some employee over on acr that was draining accounts or something? Haha security is definitely not their thing

I was talking about the same situation I had before two or three weeks ago. The current escalation is the second time, the first time was resolved .on the first time the issue happened Foster did upload an image claiming I was just seeing a display error, until I provided proof the image he uploaded couldn’t be possible given other winning combinations for that first situation .

@Troutking836 i rememeber that thread. What proof did you give that trumped the display error image @Foster provided? I’m curious bc I’ve had similar issue months back and i took it on the chin.

Just line combos that were recognized and paid that wouldn’t be possible given the image he uploaded of the claimed “actual spin” I can send pics or detail more in PM getting way off topic for this thread

In some instances it will be a display error, it this particular case of @Troutking836 's t doesn’t appear to be and it is being looked into.

I was talking about the first time it happened with the current being the second.
