I’m playing the $162 40k GTD and there are clearly a large group of ~20 players who bought in at the very last minute just to min cash – they aren’t playing a single hand and are using the full time bank in every hand. In the attached screenshot players 486, 487, and 493 are all doing it. I wonder if they might even be bots set up to do this? I assume this is against the rules but even if not, it’s bad for the people actually playing the tournament normally. Could Ignition please look into this?? Thanks
The money bubble just broke and several of these players cashed by folding every hand. Looking at the current chip counts it’s very clear which players did it – everyone here except player 0233, 0442, and 0450:
I feel like this either needs to be expressly prohibited or Ignition should change the structures to allow less late registration. Just my two cents.
Ok I’m not a bot but sometimes I do same. And I will fold every hand and use all my time bank to get in the money. And yes there is few tournaments where if you register in very last min you will get in the money by folding. But I agree it’s I see ppl jump in 1 million grt in very last min and get in the money by sitting. And I was playing good 5 hours to get in same point. Lol
Hi @Dan_123,
Thank you for the info provided. This will be escalated and looked into, however, we can’t control how some players play or if they join the tournament at the last minute of the registration.
Understood, but it’s clear that the structure is creating a situation where this is profitable. More than 10% of the players in the money in this tournament successfully cashed without playing a hand (12 out of 108).
This is bad for everyone, including Ignition, but especially for the players who want to actually play the tournament. Every hand on my table was taking several minutes because of these players using their entire time banks. Not to mention the players who already busted and contributed to paying out people who are just taking advantage of a loophole.
