In this poker scenario, folding is the safest option because A♣ J♣ is often dominated by the range of hands that your opponent might 4-bet with, such as AQ, AK, or any pair. If your opponent has any of these hands, you’re statistically at a disadvantage. Therefore, folding can prevent further loss in this situation. However, the optimal decision can also depend on the opponent’s playing style and your table image.
