Thanks for sharing this with us.

We’ll reach out to our Security team with the details to get them to take a look into it.

i loaded up the hand at pokerhandreplays and was able to follow the action a bit better.

not saying it isnt but it is just so hard to prove

you would think if he was partners with the other guy he would have called to make the pot fatter so it would be easier to get all the money in.

was it the same guy who kept on folding? maybe he was a super nit?

but as someone smarter than me once said “where there is money… there are people trying to steal it.”

I’m not sure what you’re asking about the guy who kept folding. Look at the dates, first hand is from 6/14 2nd is from 6/24. These may or may not be the same players only Pai Wang Luo can tell us that. If they are using virtual machines, VPNs, multiple accounts, all of the above or some other way of masking their identity then maybe no one can.

i didnt notice the dates. i gave the hand a 2nd look. let me see if i got this straight.

1st hand:

co limps 1bb AA
hero raises to 4bb with TT
sb 3bets to 12bb with K8s

co calls 8bbs with AA (and does not 4bet with someone behind)
hero call 8bb

sb checks
co check
hero bets 33% pot

sb folds mid pair
AA raises.

2nd hand:

co limps AA (again)
hero raises qjs to 4bb (again)
sb 3bet JTs to 12bb (again)

co calls AA (again no 4bet with someone behind oop)
hero calls 8bb (again)

sb checks (again this time with top pair)
co checks (again)
hero bets (again 33% pot)

sb folds top pair JTs (again)
co calls and slow plays to river.

i would have to agree with you this definitely looks like collusion but 2 hands is just so slim for proof.

the ignition team would have to confirm it some how see if those 2 accounts bash heads ever or if there are similar hands like that involving the 2 of them.

maybe easiest way to tell right off the bat is to see if the players in those 2 hands are the same players.

i bet they are the field at 1000nl is very few players

My more obvious signs of collusion, what they fold pre. Folding AKo on the button with AA in the blinds, one just says, what the heck?

maybe in a mtt or sng but not a cash game

they can just divide the $ after

This is pretty obvious…

First hand doesn’t seem unreasonable. SB probably recognizes you’re a pro or thinking player and knows you’re going to be iso-ing a weak players’ CO limp on the BTN very wide, so he 3 bets K8s in the SB trying to get heads up with you or take the pot down preflop. Once the CO limper cold calls a 3 bet, you call on the BTN, and the flop comes out low and very connected, K8s (one measly pair, and second pair at that) is likely to be drawing to five outs and will somewhat often be dead. Even if K8s is ahead in this spot, it’s going to be near impossible to get to showdown. Check folding seems pretty standard.

Second hand is definitely more sketchy. 3 betting J10s, flopping top pair on a dry board, and check folding to 1/3 pot doesn’t seem like a thing despite the fact it’s multiway.
