What are your thoughts on Anonymous players?

Love the tournaments do miss being able to not be anonymous :-1: pokers about knowing your opponents :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: and knowing who your playing and the chat I definitely do not like but I get it :+1: the games are very consistent and always open:goat:

I see 2 arguments. I agree that live poker is all about ready the player. Much harder to do online.
Secondly, without anonymity it does become easier to collude with other players to influence play and clean house on individual players. Definitely 2 arguments to that.

I agree that knowing your opponents is important, but unfortunately all the HUDs and assistance programs out there made it completely unfair to those oblivious to them. Anonymous tables makes those programs useless so I understand it.

I agree with your point one hundred percent canā€™t argue that just miss the talking the most I believe , poker a SoCal community that I think the game really strives on being able to communicate with the people at your table and sometimes talking somebody into a fold but as well it keeps the game moving

Haha right but we need to be able to talk

Not really, can still get session stats and population trends.

Though live action provides a wealth of information to an observant player, poker fundamentals are the foundation to being profitable. Such fundamentals are necessary online if one wants to have an edge. Recognizing player tendencies online & live only compliment sound strategies & are not essential to success in low/mid stakes.

@PlayinCards4Life :smile::smile: Nice comment but how do you know there real player if you donā€™t see there face??? to meet the fundamentals you specify we need a webcam on the poker table to see the players and then!!! we know there not bots or something else. :yum:

@EMELO_123,
Iā€™m not sure you understand my previous post.
Knowing if a player is ā€œrealā€ or a bot has little impact on how much of an edge you will have at low stakes. To elaborate further, the poker fundamentals Iā€™m referencing arenā€™t dependent on being able to see your opponent. A player can be profitable by implementing a well rounded strategy. A good strategy will include a thorough knowledge of position, opening ranges, pot odds, drawing odds and bet sizingā€¦just to name a few. Mastering these concepts will show a profit no matter if your opponent is a human or a bot.

anonymous poker sucks, lifetime notes are great and earned along the way.
on that note anonymous chat with no observer chat sucks too. :face_vomiting::rage::zipper_mouth_face:

If you guys keep anonymous poker, maybe consider lifetime notes instead of session stats? That would be a decent compromiseā€¦

I vote add observer emoji chat please! Id like to rail those that suck out n crash n burn :smiling_imp:

Lifetime notes still tells you who the player is (still trying to circumvent the anonymity). Besides, the player id changes at each new table and each session, so can not have lifetime notes as programmed. For example, in Zone, each new table new ID, no stats whatsoever on villains. BUT, there are no stats on you as well, equality.

The anonymous players would reduce effectiveness of HUDs and Note Take (NoteCaddy) application. I use HUD and similar to review my play in MTTs or SnGs.

I do not mind the anonymous as along Ignition Casino and sister site can isolate collusion and bot in SnG and MTTs.

ok guys I have some new machines and places that Im trying to share with Ignition casino to review @IgnitionBlogger but in reference to the poker topic and about anonymous poker like @oOBehindYOUOo mention this is my idea to solve those issues but Ignition and poker has done a good job since it doesnā€™t matter who your playing if you have bad cards to start your betting is all about patience and strategy. I hope I get rewards but I still contribute to ignition since it was the first place I started betting bitcoins onlineā€¦ so please guys check this out join me and let;s play some poker face to face then I hope Mr @William review this with the team I still got many other games to share and make ignition the best place to play!!! enjoy it ā€¦ see you at the table!! hope you like it @Willey101 @MT27_123 @Berweiler @FutureInsights @PlayinCards4Life @firerain :smiley::smiley:

What the heck is Pokerface, and why would I want to play there?

Reviewed, dude - seriously, this no way contributes in comparison with Ignition IMO.

Anonymous players makes it easier for players to collude. If players had names we would know who we suspect of collusion.

I agree

I like anonymous players because it elimanates players from teaming up with each other and running a table.Although it could still be done on sit and go tables
