My Ignition poker goal

According to my graph I’m -15bb EV but like -30 something actual cash so I am actually in a downswing right now.

This doesn’t include hands from today. So I don’t feel so bad now. This looks absolutely terrible I’m aware but I am just returning after an 8 month break so whatevs. I’m losing most of my money in the small blind so I’m just going to start folding it unless it’s top 10. I’m also leaving these tables that have a bunch of scragglers with small stracks because they are the most annoying to play with and not rewarding.

i took a day off yesterday and was feeling rusty

some days i say let me just put in an hour or so even tho i do not feel like playing.
just so i do not get rusty.

then maybe i will just play some 5nl 6max timebank and watch youtube or netflix and fold everything but top 10% like superrrr nit fold bb to 2bb raise type nit stuff.

how many hands did you have played before the 8 month break?
and how many hands total since you have been back?

This is what I’m talking about. Ok case in point.

This guy limps in then calls a raise. I can’t get a better flop for sevens without a seven. But he can have literally anything because I haven’t seen anyone fold preflop. So he calls a C-Bet then a 2 on the turn and he leads into me pot. Now if I fold here I may as well not even play. But then again I can’t call because the flush connected and there are full houses and over pairs he can easily have. There is no strategy to beat this. It’s a total guessing game. You just have to have an unending bankroll idk. I’m at a loss here.

I’m seriously starting to think twice about ignition. I think Global Poker might even be a better choice. I just realized that the fact that everyone is anonymous is what allows this donkfest suckout fest to continue. If the tables weren’t anonymous you could run a HUD and play a strategy against all of these players. The fact that you can’t know who plays a strategy and who is just pressing buttons makes it impossible almost to play a winning strategy. What I can’t understand is last year I seriously turned 25 dollars into 800 in a month and I didn’t have much trouble at all.

have to download your hand history then u can

I’ve come up 20 I think I was just on a downswing it’s pretty much the same as last night but I’m just getting discouraged cause I can’t hit anything. I’m seeing tons of all ins with other players where the worst hand is winning 3 way

It’s like you keep folding and folding and folding when they’re playing trash hands then when you fight back all the sudden they have something good.

After tonight I’m taking a break and looking through these hands. I’ve been downloading all my hand history. I want to see what the X is going on and how we can beat it. Do you use a HUD?

It is insane that EVERYBODY is experiencing this downswing at the same time. You me. And look at these hands im seeing from other players.

All in preflop everytime calling with trash and winning.

Omg I finally won an all in.
The insanity. Are sundays crazier than saturdays even?

He shoved on this flop like 150bb and I called. I’m honestly surprised I won.

sick nice score

Yeah I ducked out. I’m just tripping out a little bit at the insane donk fest. I just didn’t think people played like this anymore. You could really make a ton but you have to have a ton of buy ins really because the variance in this type of play is going to be insane. At $86 dollars, I was playing 10NL I gotta stop messing around going back to 5NL. I will not allow myself to go bust this time lol.

Ok that’s it for tonight.

End of day 3
Start $150 dollars
End $83 dollars

Not the best night. Couldn’t seem to hit anything. The craziest donkfest I’ve seen playing real money in a long time. I’m learning a little I guess. I find that it’s better to do something out of the ordinary like float flop check raise turn that it is to try to get into pissing matches with them even with good hands. They’re not going to fold anything and they’re going to apply insane pressure to try to get you to fold and well there’s nothing you can really do about it. But money isn’t the most important thing I consider it a small victory for me because usually when I go on tilt because you’re beating me with bad play I am going to go all in or nothing. It’s way better to live to fight another day. I’ll continue the bankroll tomorrow and I’m going to go through a bunch of hands and try to see what they are making these insane plays with if it’s all trash or what is going on. It’s got to be beatable.

Saw the bankroll shoot up to 150 so quick I thought this would be a cakewalk but after tonight I’m seeing that it’s going to take a lot of work and self control. Not very satisfied with my self because I could have done more to stop the bleeding but when you start seeing red it’s like something else takes over. We are still up 4 buy ins from day 1 and it’s only day 3 so PROGRESS. Slow and steady wins the race. The eager beaver sucks the worm. And all that good stuff… Hasta Manyana muchachas!

@Player1 I didn’t see your question earlier

“how many hands did you have played before the 8 month break?
and how many hands total since you have been back?”

I had played in June of last year 30,000 hands at 5nl, 10nl, 25nl zone and cash games. I had a 13bb win rate per 100 hands over 30k hands (sometimes it was as high as 30bb). And I had a few micro tournament 1st place cashes. So that’s why I’m kind of like confused as to why I’m having such a hard time right now, but after seeing my graph I think I just got off in a downswing and it is affecting my play. Having a -bb win rate just isn’t like me at all. But as you can see in the graph I’ve only played 5k hands so far over the course of this week.

@player1

Here is my old chart at 17k hands. Idk what happened to the one that had all 30k hands.

Here I am winning at 8bb per 100 hands at about half of a decent sized sample size. I was doing even better at 30k hands.

i love that red line
my guess is i gave you tons of cash

Yeah my redline is pretty sexy. Most people I see like on youtube videos and such win most of their money with the yellow line. I was winning the majority of it with the red. Which goes to show the addage that no one is folding at microstakes isn’t true. Also my 3 bet percentage is very high. I think my unique style of play is what allowed me to win. I just need to get back in that groove. I went from $25 to $800 before I had to quit due to personal issues HEH.

My favorite is when you have a set or top two and they are dead to run run flush and BANG BANG. OR you flop the flush and they are dead to run run boat and BANG BANG. It’s so gross cause you can see it’s coming

And curious if anyone else is seeing this too, whenever I flop a flush and a straight “typically a spot to get the money in,” it never hits

Okay last night was terrible. It’s okay though cause we’re still in the game. Bankroll bouncing around a lot around 100 dollars. I’ve been breaking the rules and playing some 10NL but today I’m 4 tabling 5NL. So kfxxxing boring I’m having trouble making myself do it but whatever we’re just going easy Only 11 dollars a day remember?

DAY 4
CURRENT ROLL $85
6 MAX NL HOLD EM 4 TABLES
Throwing in some $7 triple ups and 6 max Omaha 10NL just to enjoy myself cause I can’t make myself grind micros without wanting to shove two pencils in my nose and slam my head on the desk

These triple ups are incredibly good bankroll builders, you only have to place 3rd to triple up which is crazy. The player pool is super weak. Basically I just try to win some pots and when the blinds go up I start playing push/fold using a chart.

I’m really curious as to the optimal strategy of these as there has to be a difference in normal tournaments because the top 3 always split the prize pool. So like if you get three big stacks it’s like you’re colluding with them to beat the other small stacks, or else you SHOULD be. Not really colluding but you know what I mean. Will update hopefully we’ll get the roll over 100 tonight.
