My Ignition poker goal

I HAVE SUPER GOOD NEWS I UPLOADED THE REST OF ALL THE HANDS FROM THIS WEEK AND WE ARE FOR THE FIRST TIME +EV/BB PER 100. AND WE ARE VERY HIGH

I was correct in assuming that I am running WAY BELOW EV RIGHT NOW. Which is wonderful news because that means we are actually playing a good game. Here is my chart with all the hands from this week. I played about 5000.

My EV/bb per 100 is TWELVE! Which is like really great. I only expect to be winning about 7 or 8 maybe 10 at the highest over 30k hands. At 30k hands we will have a decent sample size. I am running about 12bb per 100 under as you can see our actual BB per 100 is close to break even.
So, LETS KEEP GRINDING AND COME UP IN STAKES.

that cash ev diff

:sob:

It’s a beast right? I can’t wait for the upswing.

I don’t play a %28VPIP in hold em I’m playing Omaha as well so that’s affecting my stats.

i got it in bad last night like every single hand but i won almost all of the ones i got it in bad with…

it pissed me off so much my ev is rek’d

i dont want to talk about it…

Haha, it’s okay bro as long as we have a bankroll we’re good and you can always redeposit.
So what do you guys think about Doug Polk and leaving poker? It kind of makes me sad that the game is kind of going a different way but I guess with computer technology evolving as fast as it is it is inevitable. I think when I get a large enough bankroll I will probably go to playing live poker because being 34 years old I don’t have the young brain needed to learn all of the solver stuff and compete with online poker players. They will simply be too many geniuses in the game.

None of that matters at these stakes though.
Man the games are WAYYYY tamer today. I like it so much better. I can relax and play a solid game. None of this ridiculousness with the extremely high variance.

Bankroll making a comeback. Around $110 as of now.
I’m currently playing 10NL even though I’m not at 150 JUST yet I’m not challenged by it at all so I’d like to get up to 25 and 50NL as quick as possible. If I take a hit I’ll just have to go back down.

A month ago I mean he quit poker last year but he stopped making poker videos too now hes making regular videos though still. Idk what his deal is I think he just got sick of playing cause even though there are solvers now that’s not the end all of poker. You can find plenty of games without people who play with solvers.

maybe that is what is setting me back i should get a solver.

i was listening to a pro talk about how he doesnt use one (he is a crusher)
maybe i do not know enough about them

but i think if you enter the wrong data like preflop ranges or post flop ranges then it is solving something that isnt correct.

the whole debate gto vs exploitative and what is better

some other pros are saying its good to know gto then adjust from there.

I would think a solver wouldn’t be useful unless you’re playing $10/$20 or 200 to 500NL ZOOM on poker stars. I mean you could use it at lower stakes but it would be like overkill. Also I downloaded the free version of it and I couldn’t figure out how to use it it’s extremely complicated.

Ok so I’m totally convinced that SNGs are the best way to build a bankroll. I’ve been playing triple ups and I haven’t lost but maybe two of them. You only have to come into third place. So I’m opening up 10NL Omaha and playing triple ups and I’m doing great. It’s all about finding what is the easiest to win because we want to be able to move up stakes we aren’t trying to build skill right now. I am learning a lot though especially about my HUD.

Here are my SNG results so far. I’ve only lost a couple out of all of them.

Omaha is another great option because if you have studied at all (Check out Jeff Hwangs Advanced Pot Limit Omaha books, the small ball technique is invaluable)
Your skill level is going to make so much more of a difference than in Hold Em. I think beginner Omaha players know so much less than the average beginner Hold Em player. The beginners in Hold Em kind of can navigate but if someone is playing Omaha without studying hardcore they are leaking tons of money because Omaha is just a way more unsolved and complicated game. Bankroll is at about 120 right now great night.

14 hands later KK vs same guy
ace on flop and he shoves both flops after i check both in a 4 bet pot

i folded both…

is that gto

so guy at the table is the most feared player of all times plays 100% of hands cold calls 100% of hands and he is exactly on my left owning me with his 100% of hands played on a super donkey heater

update: i get kk for a 3rd time at the table with this guy in my BB and he makes his first fold pre flop. and to top if off the rest of the table all folded to me in the bb also.

i used to play a lot of those $3.00 triple ups i did alright in them. i should try them again.
i tried a lot of double ups and never came out ahead and i played tons
the rake is 1/2 but for some reason i can not win on those
i must be doing something wrong

update: some how he is finally losing after playing every single hand and being up 2.5 buy ins
but i am still losing worse than him at the table lol

yeah took a break he got the best of me

Lol bro he’s hard bro u can’t defeat the %100 flat call BEAST. Do you think .80 cent bets mean anything to him? He is eating them and let the cards fall where they may.

Ah man I keep getting up to like 110 and going back down to 80. I’m also getting really burnt out on playing. I just don’t get as excited about poker as I used to and playing low stakes is just soul devouring. bankroll at $80

i really worry about collision on the triple ups and double ups

i played so many and never got a refund for collision and i have no idea if i am being colluded against. (on full tilt i got a couple of refunds because i was cheated against)

i like cash games just because i can walk away.

mtt are the worst have to play for at least 5 hours straight if you hope to win big.
sng triple ups are like 1 hour plus per game if you make it to the bubble

but i still like the triple ups
i want to see 9max double ups again i did alright on those but just worry about collision on all those.

$ games it is a lot harder to have a big advantage colluding in cash games.

i worry about Omaha because all the extra whole cards on the table so collision would have a much bigger advantage knowing what cards are dead

i am just going to stick with 6max cash for now
was listening to Jonathan little on youtube (super nice guy and i like his personality)
he pretty much only plays MTT at high buy ins
but he explains it like this
you are going to want to play a game where you can move up in stakes where games are running.

dont learn limit holdem it is dead and he doesnt like sng for that reason

so i think cash games and mtt are the way to go

There is a guy who is just open tilt shoving every single hand and stacking everyone at the table. He’s hitting like runner runner flushes and everything else. I finally call him and he happens to have KK. Then I get him once. Then he’s open shoving again and I call him with A9 and this happens.

I’m back down to like 60 bucks this is the most trouble I’ve ever had at these stakes. Idk what is going on but I hit an upswing then BOOM down. Rollercoaster. And sh like this is just making me want to quit. I mean there’s just no way I can beat the game the players AND the rake on the site if also people are going to win like this. There’s just no way I can keep my win rate.!

So I’m getting it in set over set and he hits a 3 on the river. I mean of course he hits a 3 on the river what else would happen, me win? Yeah right, I mean there is literally no other card that could come on this river I mean I’m in for 150bb and there’s only 4 cards in the deck that can give him the best hand one of them HAS to hit.

I’m back down to where I started on day one almost. I don’t think I can do it anymore. I mean what’s so annoying is I sit here grinding it out and most of the time when I have good hands I win a small pot. Then when I finally get it in with someone with an OVERWHELMING dominance they magically %2 chance of winning? NO PROBLEM THIS IS IGNITION CASINO WEEEEEEEEEEE DEPOSIT MORE! I’ve lost 100 dollars in two days playing microstakes and getting in my money good 90% of the time. Bank roll $64 WTF

sry to hear man
your graph is gg
so it is not your skills
just doom switched i guess
boy do i have some doom switched stories
longest streaks where i couldnt win a single all in

so i just start shoving everything its dumb makes no sense to just shove but at least when they call my AKo with 56 i get some ev proof

then that guy you have just shoving all in everything
i think i told you a story about him but maybe not in so much detail

bought in for 1.50 and shoved every single hand like 9x he had a showdown and if he lost 1 he got it right back with an extra 30% got up to like 30 bucks it was amazing pure god mode so sick.
always had the worst of it and won.

then he lost it all and left.

He’ll be shoving like every single hand open and everyone folds then one time the person decided to call him he has KK.

yup seen that happen so many times

I just hate playing with people like this and everytime I get close to being able to move up the game lets them fxxx me up. I’ve also been running under EV for about 6000 hands now so that doesn’t help.

I just want to get him in drawing dead and I’ll be okay.
